Day 1 of our Trip

We left this morning at 7 AM. We stopped in Orange Park, FL outside of Jacksonville. We met Richard's cousin, Barbara, her daughter April, and April's 2 month old daughter, Chloe. We had breakfast with them and had a nice visit. We had rain off and on during the day. Traffic was fairly heavy, but moving good. We did come to a crawl outside of Columbia on route 77. There was an accident. But at least we kept on crawling. We are staying in Rock Hill, SC at the Days Inn. We will be going to bed early. We want to leave by 3 AM to get ahead of some traffic. I will try to post more tomorrow.

Looking forward to our trip

We are planning on leaving here Tuesday morning, the 25th of May, to head north. We will spend about a week with family in Waynesboro, Chambersburg, PA, then go Cumberland, MD and Springs, PA. From there we will head out west, taking the northern route this time. We will take in Washington, Oregon, California and quite a few other states that we haven't been in yet. We have 13 states that we haven't been in yet. Hopefully, we will get to see these plus go visit a few places that we were at before. One place we want to go back to is the Grand Canyon. I will try tp post pictures again as we go. I wish we could just load everyone up and take you along. With the pictures I post, hopefully you can "go along" this way. Enjoy

Meeting Richard's Cousins

Richard found out several weeks ago through another cousin, that he has 3 more first cousins that he didn't know he had. Barbara and Bob, live outside of Jacksonville, Patricia and their brother Gary live in Tenn. Patricia was visiting Barbara for a few weeks. Richard got in contact with them. We met them yesterday for lunch, then came back here to the house to really talk. We didn't meet Gary yet, but hopeing to someday. It was great getting to know them.
