some More Of Fay-the Storm

We got at least 10 inches of rain here. It was too much pressure and did a big number on the road and the drainage system they had. Our water was off all night. Phone service was off until about 2:00 today. We sure do thank the good Lord that we didn't have any more damage. This was a rough storm, but God was watching out for us again.PTL!
This is at the end of our road where you turn off route 1. The water pressure was too great and it washed out under the road and broke the main water line.
The large brush bucket truck came by this morning and picked up all our limbs and branches
The pond really got full. Richard had to drain water off several times. One time it was very close to running over. We would have lost our fish.
Branches by the pond
Open space where branches used to be
Some more downed branches and limbs
Some of the branches and limbs that broke off by the pond.
This is our Plumeria Plant. It was the largest one we had. The wind broke it off in 3 places. A neighbor took the pieces. He will plant them.

Before & During Tropical Storm Fay

This was Sunday evening. It was so peaceful. Tropical Storm Fay is hanging around. This morning we had 3 1/2 inches of rain. The storm had some powerful winds. Some of our winds were probably in the 40's. During the time we were in the eye this morning, it was so quiet. Now that it has moved a little, we are once again being hit with the feeder bands. We were so thankful this was only a tropical storm and not a hurricane since it hit us directly. We will continue to get quite a bit of rain and wind the next day or two.
Yesterday(Tues)morning, the neighbor was on a ladder tightening up a cable and fell. 911 came and took him to the hospital. Cracked #4 vertebrae. Will be in a brace and time will heal. He was getting ready for the storm.
This was taken while we were in the eye of the storm this morning-quiet, no rain or wind. Doves were in and out of the bird bath.
Before the storm
These were taken Sunday evening before the storm hit us
This was at the boat landing during the storm. The river is out onto the landing. Boards are broken off the dock and laying there.
This is where it blew out of the tree
